About the Author

Ashley Suzanne is a married mother of three little boys as well as a daughter, aunt, sister, best friend, birth mother, blogger, book whore and author.  Ashley is a native to the suburbs of Detroit, with most of her family living in Kentucky and New York.  

You can usually find Ashley sitting in bed, with her laptop, playing on Facebook, pretending to write, entering giveaways (she’s also a swag whore) or on a football field with her oldest son, Tyler.  Yep, not only is she a football fan, she’s a football mom!

Review for The Red Sun Rises by Victoria Kinnaird

It was easy to get lost into the world that Victoria Kinnaird created. The characters are easy to get attached to and the story line is easy to follow.

Claimed to be the "freak among freaks" the main character faces what a lot of teenagers deal with on a day to day basis. Bullying.

Bullying leads to insecurity as well as other issues with a person's self esteem. Not only that but there is also the realistic side of how he doesn't get along with his father because he isn't like the other children he goes to school with.

This story shows the struggles that the main character goes through and how he comes out on the other side of them. Teenagers can easily relate to the problems that he has because they are problems that happen in everyday life. There isn't the far out in left field type of problems that no one can relate to.

I think the author did a wonderful job at writing this novel and making sure that readers could connect to her characters.

Jennifer graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in English and a teaching credential. Afterwards, she finally married her best friend and high school sweetheart. Jennifer is currently a full-time writer and mother of three young children. Her days are spent living in imaginary worlds and fueling her own kids’ creativity.

The Long Version:
I graduated with Department Honors from the University of San Diego with a degree in English. While working to earn my teaching credential, I was a legal assistant for an attorney. That’s about the time I finally married my high school sweetheart. Once I received my credential from USD, I taught high school English until I had my first child.
Currently I am a stay-at-home mom. I have three kids, one large dog, a gecko, and a frog.
A couple of years ago, I entered a writing contest about motherhood and won.  My essay “Caution: Warning Lable Not Included!” was published in the anthology Manual for Motherhood, reaching number one in the Parenting section of Amazon!  This sparked my need to write on a daily basis, and I have been writing ever since!
My debut young adult novel The Voice was published by Lands Atlantic in January 2013. The Voice is nominated for three Novel Grounds Literary Awards: Best Indie, Favorite Five Star, and Best Book Boyfriend!
My second book, The Power to See, is a new adult novel and will be available in October 2013.
My third book, The Key, is a young adult light fantasy novel, and will be available November 16, 2013.
I’ve always had a passion for reading and writing.  Being transported into another world and experiencing things beyond my imagination – what could be better? Besides being an outlet and a love, I hope to write books that encourage all to read.

Review for Exposed Affections by Rene Folsom

*Sigh* First of all I am still on my Aiden/Coda high as I write this. Rene Folsom is frickin brilliant. Not only does she write a story that captures the audience, but she writes in such a way that makes it damn near impossible to put down. Shuttered Affections was a brilliant start to the Cornerstone series but to really get to the good and dirty fun you have to get into Exposed Affections. This book is NOT for anyone under the age of 18.

Coda and Aiden are attached to Julia not only because of their twin ESP but because she gives them each something that they need. While they are identical in a lot of different aspects, they are two very different people. It's not that hard to figure out which twin is which when they're around Julia. They both shower her in love and affection as well as make sure that they don't push her into anything that she wouldn't want. They are the perfect combination of a male that any woman would want. Protection, love, adoration and everything else that makes them the Stone twins.

Julia's life is good even though she is unsure of what she is allowed to want when it comes to the Stone brothers. She quickly learns that there are basically no barriers when it comes to them. They find it natural to share everything because they've done it their entire life. As Julia falls into the role of loving both Aiden and Coda, the shit ultimately hits the fan.

Rob is still stalking her and is now threatening people she cares for and doesn't want hurt. When things escalate with Rob, she learns just how precious life and love truly are. But, the bad doesn't end there. Julia is still put through hell as she lives with the aftermath of everything that happened.

But, you find out who your true friends are when you go through hell and see those who stick by you. Julia finds friends in Tanya as well as Bri and of course Sid her life long best friend.

Once Julia realizes that she is stronger than she sees herself as and that she has the support of two amazing men. Her life turns around her for and she gets what she's always wanted thanks to Coda and Aiden.


As a bonus Rene Folsom adds in the first four chapters of Shuttered Affections from Aiden's point of view. All in all Rene did an AMAZING job at wrapping up this series. While I'm sad to see the end of Coda, Aiden, and Julia I am glad to know that they got the ending they deserved as well as know that their story got told.

When Luke reached one of the doors and opened it he looked behind him as if he expected me to be there. He looked down towards me, and seemed confused. “You coming Becca?” I wanted to tell him no because he was acting like an ass. “Please?”

I guess I could at least go talk to him and see what the hell he was so upset about. I walked toward him feeling his eyes on me the entire time, he made me so nervous. When I reached him he grabbed my hand and pulled me into the studio. Before the door could even close all of the way he was on me. He pushed me back against the wall his hands immediately finding my hips, which seemed to be his favorite spot. 
His mouth crushed mine almost feeling like he was going to devour me whole. His kiss had this urgency and need to it that set my veins on fire. We had passion before when we kissed but it was nothing like this. This was animalistic, unapologetic, and completely overwhelming. I ran my hands up his chest gripping his t-shirt because I need something to hold onto, I felt like my knees would buckle and I would melt into him at any time. I moved my hands around his neck and laced them through his hair, giving him a little tug as I did it.
Luke let out this throaty moan that in the heat of the moment sounded like a growl. He lifted me off the ground by my hips and I instinctively wrapped my legs around his waist. I could feel how much he wanted me and I knew that if he initiated it now, public place or not, it would happen. Was this what I really wanted though? Did I want my first time to be in a recording studio while I braced up against a wall? The part of my mind that Jen told me I didn’t listen to enough was screaming ‘YES!’ There was the other part of me though that knew I would regret it, and possibly even resent him for it.

My name is Ashley Piscitelli. I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with my husband, two kids, and two dogs. On top of starting a writing career, I am a full-time student and a full-time mom. I love spending time with my kids, although I have to hide away with the computer from them when I am writing! I love being active and being outdoors.

I have always been passionate about writing. I wrote this book in about three months. I love reading romance books! I feel like being able to lose yourself in a book is one of the more exciting aspects. The books I love to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. You should have an opinion on every character in a book whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something.

This book was fantastic. It pulled me in from the very first line. This isn't your typical "ghost story" it's an action packed adventure.

Rip lives a normal life...or at least he thinks he does. Until one day he starts seeing ghosts. He doesn't realize they are ghosts until he meets Serissa and she tells him everything that is happening to him and that he is one of the seven. From there is life spirals out of control.

Until an old friend comes back into his life. From then on it's the ghost fighting trio.
