Review for Truths of the Soul by Rene Folsom

Rene Folsom has me hooked! Every time she puts out a new book in the Soul Seer series, I have to read it right then! I am in LOVE with this series. Ella and Jonah have a very special place in my heart.

Does fate ever play a hand in life? It would appear for Ella and Jonah that it does. After Ella wakes up from her coma, she believes that Jonah is just a figment of her imagination. A delightfully wonderful dream that she had while she was in her coma. Only, she soon finds out that he is real.

Jonah first sees Ella when she comes in with her mother. He watches her from a distance scared to talk to her. Scared that if he touches her, she'll explode into glitter fire like she did in his dreams. He asks Jay who her mother is and when he hears her name, it all clicks for him. His Ella is real!

When Ella comes back alone, he finally gets the nerve to talk to her. The two talk and have a good time while she is there in the studio with him. When she goes home, he's not ready to let her go and calls her to ask her out on a date.

To find out how the date goes, you HAVE to pick up a copy of Truths of the Soul. The ending is one that will kill you but keep you holding on until the next is released. Changes are coming for Ella and Jonah...but are they good or bad?

Review for Naked Submission by Emily Jane Trent

Natalie and Tanner are back for more.

Natalie is about to start school and is finishing up the last minute details such as registration. when Tanner calls her upset that she had lunch with her best friend who is also a guy she realizes that Tanner is having her followed and is doing things that she should be doing on her own. Tanner is turning out to be obsessive, possessive, overly protective as well as overly jealous.

He doesn't want Natalie talking to any other males because he sees how beautiful she is and knows that any male in their right mind would want her, but he wants her for himself. He wants to her to submit to him, and he'll use any method of "punishment" to get her to submit to him.

Will Natalie be able to follow her dreams and do what she's always wanted to do? Or will Tanner take over her life consuming every minute of her day as well as consuming her mind and body?

Review for Bind Me by Rene Folsom

Wow! This book was HOT! I couldn't tear myself away from it once I started. Just like Heart You, Rene Folsom did a great job!!

Lilly accidentally walked in on her roommate with another girl. Not only is she surprised at what he's doing, but she finds it hot. Thoughts of him doing the same to her dominate her until it becomes a reality.

Chaz had asked Lilly to be his date for a gallery opening. He planned on having his way with her when they got back home, but finds it hard with what she's wearing. After excusing themselves from the party, he takes her away and has his way with her. Not only does she love it, but she thinks that they have a chance at being more than a one night fling.

When they rejoin the party, he introduces her to people as HIS girl.

This is a very hot read but shouldn't be read by anyone under eighteen. Bind me contains some material that may not be suitable by younger readers.

Review for The Vessel by Felicia Tatum

Scott and Olivia are back in another adventure. Along with them are Mark, Grandma, Sadie, Juniper, and Aidan.

Life went from boring and uneventful to adventurous every second for Olivia and everyone involved in her life. She was suppose to graduate but ended up having a change in plans that wasn't up to her. For two months she was forced to be away from Scott which weakened him. Once she was back, her brother came into the picture. He told her about her past and why she has powers.

Some secrets are better left buried but sometimes they come out because there is no other choice. Livvie learns that her parents aren't human but rather a vampire and a sorcerer. Not to mention she learns a few other things, like who the deer is that she keeps seeing in her dreams.

At the end Scott learns a shocking truth that could cripple him.

Overall this was a fantastic book. I fell in love with the characters in the first book and was so glad to know that there was a second one. I have no doubts that the third one will be just as amazing as the first too. Felicia Tatum does a great job at leaving you wanting more as far as ending the books. Each ends with a shocking realization and makes you want to know how things will play out for them. I honestly have to say I am glad that I was given the chance to read book one and fall in love with another amazing author.

Review for Demon by Laura DeLuca

Wow! This is the perfect second book to Phantom. It was utterly unbelievable to read and kept my mind reeling as I tried to figure out how the play would come to life like it did with Phantom. The suspects for this one are ones that will throw the reader off what they think is happening.

Becca and Justyn are in college now and life seems to be going up after they leave the tragedy that unfolded on the stage of their high school. The horrible thoughts still linger in Becca's mind but with the new school and the new drama club she hopes that everything will turn out alright. It even starts to as the couple move into a small apartment off campus that they share.

The new play is just as dark as the last one and Justyn of course fits into it perfectly. Although tryouts are nerve wracking both get a part in the play. Justyn as the lead and Becca as a small but vital part to the play. Even if the character isn't the type of character that Becca would play willingly she knows that she must adjust to the role like any good actor/actress would do in order to prove herself to the ever criticizing professor.

Becca found a filer for a rapist on campus from the previous semester and thinks nothing of it thinking that the person was caught, besides she knows she's not his type being that her hair isn't blonde. But when something happens and leaves Justyn at home sick, she is forced to get home alone and gets caught in the trap of the very person she thought had been caught.

The rest of the book plays out as Becca struggles to move back into her everyday routine but finding that she can't because of the terrible accident that befell her. With the help of Justyn's mother she is able to though until she hears that Megan, her one and only girl friend, has had the same thing happen to her.

As the book ends the reader finds out who the rapist is and how is is related to a girl who is desperately trying to steal Justyn from Becca. The relationship is shocking and unforeseeable. This was another great book by Laura DeLuca and I look forward to reading book three!

Cover Reveal for Losing Conner by Amanda Alberson

Excerpt:

“This here is me favorite place.” He said.
His fingers ran lightly over the bark as we circled the trunk. My eyes followed the tree straight up into the heavens where the first stars were twinkling to life above us.
“Why?”
His sparkling green eyes cut towards mine as he leaned me against the tree, trapping me between his muscular arms.
“Cuz girl it’s the first place ever I kissed ya,”
I opened my mouth to say something, my words met by his soft lips. I sank into the warm, wet, wonderfulness of them. A silky warmth spread across me as the night air hummed. Our lips broke apart only long enough to for a quick breath before they ran to each other again. My head swam with the intensity of his kiss, his tongue flitting across my lips, teasing me. His hands became hot against my hips, as I kissed him hungrily, his mouth like sweet fresh berries. His lips pecked at mine then pressed in covering my mouth powerfully, before moving to my neck. The mix of his soft lips and the warmth of his breath on my skin pushed a soft sigh between my lips. The sound of it on the cool night air pulled him closer to me. He stopped and looked deeply into my eyes.
“By God you’re beautiful my Cassie girl.”

Review for Eternally Bound by M.L. Stephens

It's no big surprise when I say that this is another brilliant work by M.L. Stephens. It captivates the reader into a world that they can't control but feel every moment of. Every emotion felt by the character is transferred to the reader as well as images of the surroundings and of how the characters look as described by someone else.

The time that Lucian gave Claire is approaching its end and neither Claire nor Hunter knows how to stop him yet. When Clyde tells them about the passageway to the tomb they both go down to discover that there really is a Greek goddess laying at rest there. With the help of some of Claire's loved ones, Hecate comes back to get the payment which is due to her...Lucian's soul.

Things are revealed that would anyone who is following the series. Not everyone is who they appear to be on the outside and everyone has a story that they don't want to tell anyone. Not to mention in some way each person is connected to the great Fontaine mystery in a way that they never knew.

Of course everyone knows that Claire is the recycled spirit of Claire who was Lucian's daughter and Ella is her half sister, but what do Susan, Reed, and Chad have to do with what happened so many years ago. As well as how Nate is involved not only by who he is named after but the promise that his family made to Claire's family. A promise that bound him to the land which the plantation resides on.

All is well that ends well and Hunter and Claire's future could start looking up after everything that they've been through.

Go read Eternally Bound to find out the secrets that are revealed...but if you haven't read book 1-3 then go pick those up and read them first. I promise that as soon as you get into the story you are sucked into a world that doesn't easily leave you.
